Homework: Research Rimu Tree

Where do you find Rimu? Rimu grows all around New Zealand. But mainly in the west coast of the south island.
Why is it important to the Maori? Maoris used it to craft all kinds of things, especially spears to hunt with. They would sometimes use Rimu to craft Wakas as well.
What uses does it have? The inner bark from the towering tree can be used to treat injuries such as cuts, scraps and burns.
I think Rimu is the best house in the school because we stand up tall, help others when they are hurt and carve great futures, as we paddle to the other side.
